I am going to show you three ways to post images on the site.

For the purpose of this topic, i will be uploading this image:

Contents

Method 1
Inserting an image from a web page

Method 2
Inserting an image from your PC

Method 3
Using screen grab software (Gyazo) to insert an image or screenshot from anywhere

Method 1

This is how to post an image from the internet.

First right click the image, and select "copy image location"

Then you put that in the img tag shown below

[img][/img]
so in this instance would look like this
[img]http://gyazo.com/767ebe7b8eeafdc627557c32138e3dfe.png[/img]

Method 2

This is for uploading a file that is on your computer

To do this we will use a website called "ImageShack" (www.imageshack.us) (*You will need to create an account with imageshack to do this, but sign up is fast and free)

First go to www.imageshack.us and select "browse"

Then find the image you want to upload and click "open"

Now click the "Upload Now" Button

Click "Continue to image links"

Then you want to copy the "Direct Link"

Finally you need to paste that link into the "IMG" tag

[img] [/img]
Should look something like this

Method 3

This method i think is the best. Although it does require the download of a screen grab software. (Gyazo)

First, Download Gyazo

Once you have it, you should create a quick launch icon in your task bar (i think it does this during setup)

Now follow these simple steps

Once you have "grabbed the screen" you have a url copied.

To add this to your topic, you need to do two things

First just right click and paste the image (ctrl+V)
you will get something like this
http://gyazo.com/dc612cf3be50560666fcee5393fc6ad7
now to embedd the image, you need to add ".png" onto the end of the link

Now it can be added to your topic, to do so put in the "IMG" tag
[img] [/img]
Should look like this
[img]http://gyazo.com/dc612cf3be50560666fcee5393fc6ad7.png[/img]

Gyazo now has a GIF grabber, which you can use the same as the normal version of Gyazo but captures up to 7 seconds of video as a GIF

That should put your image in your topic, if you are struggling to use any of these methods dont hesitate to send me a PM

You can also use www.photobucket.com
I prefer imageshack, often with photobucket if a pic is a little older they always seem to be "missing" or "moved"
imageshack i know certainly havnt deleted any of mine in the time i have used it (Which is years"

I used to use imageshack until you had to register to upload images, I don't mind having to register but having to log in before you can upload an image or forgetting your password can be annoying. I tend to use http://postimage.org now since it doesn't require registration.

I'm sure imageshack once removed one of my images because they were not happy with it, I can't remember why ::)  >:D

Tuesday... did you upload porn again....  ::)

and i just select "remember Password" for that site, as its not really important

And yeah i use Gyazo all the time to share images because its so much easier than having to upload via a website like imageshack, photobucket etc.
