It looks like we will play one custom map on their server and then one modded map on our server. No hacks will be used on either server.

Hey there guys, guess most of you have already seen me on public servers. I decided to register and send you some info just in case if spring or nexus or tuesday forget it.

about me: In theory, im a coleader in TL, but in practice im responsible for the majority of stuff happening in TL so if you have any problems or questions you should ask me.

one big problem as you might have heard Gamespy master server is down and there are significant side effects.
one of them is that when you press on "multiplay" in game, the game starts to freeze etc. so its not even possible to reach the server list. the list doesnt even update or work. even if you see its last status with many servers it will not work. even the favourite list doesnt work (at least for me it didnt)
The other side effect is that all servers became no key so you can join with any cd keys you want. Actually our war server has been already cracked.
solution for the freeze problem is Xfire OR the AX / Simple gamespy fix made by tuia and s[sk].
since most of you might not use xfire anymore I thought its better to inform you. (sry if spring mentioned this somewhere)

the fix for gamespy is this:

if you have retail version:

One more thing you will need retail version to our server cause its 1.61b
not 1.612.
if one of you has origin and wants to play then make sure you get a retail version of bf42.

if you still have 1.619 (that is commonly known "1.6" ) then you just have to apply the crack i posted below: patch 1.61b cracked.exe.

About the fix:
Basically you just have overwrite the corresponding files. The fix' directory structure tells you which to overwrite with what.
so xpack1 mod.dll(fix) > xpack1 mod.dll (installed one)
and have to do the same with other files.
bf1942.exe simply has to be overwritten with the fixed one.

it contains wide screen support as well. i tested it it works fine under punkbuster. Yes weve got punkbuster running so make sure you have the latest punkbuster running or you get kicked to update all the time

simply extract it into a folder then copy and paste the content to your pb folder overwriting everything. (dont delete anything)

of course watch out with any possible.. i think you know with what. its better to test any textures on our war server if you have. to do that before! make sure you change cd key and name in case pb detects something and bans for you that. (it can ban one having textures as well it happened in the past) best if you uninstall the addons. (mods like DC and dcfinal ofc these are ok)
you can use Bf1942 cd key changer to change cd key temporarily. make sure you run it as admin.

About maps:
we will choose a memomap basically its a league map that we play in bfleague. to make it fair since majority of you doesnt know these maps, Im going to show the map to spring,nexus,tuesday and i will make a possible tactic for it. i guess you know where to install maps.

ah ye i forgot about rules:
we play a fun war but we would like to play our map with so called clan war rules:

- no cheat, no bug, no glitch
- no pixelshooting
- no camp(uncapturable flags), no steal(cant steal anything from base), no basenipe
- you can attack an AA if it fires from base, same for artillery (so for example if a wespe shoots from base you can kill it)

rest is allowed.

on your map of course CTF rules. (dunno if you allow expacks at capturable flag) will discuss that with tuesday.

one more thing if one of you guys get fancy playing clan wars, or like it or you would like to play in TL team with your WBS mates, feel free to ask to join. spring,nexus,tuesday, elite are already part of TL so they can tell you about us and about matches and other stuff (like if , tank and other fun maps) :).

last thing: we usually play clan wars on sundays 20:30 CET so before you start thinking of joining, keep that in mind.
